What Is the Meaning and Significance of the New Law
„Now we know that what the law says speaks to those who are under the law; that all mouths may be stopped, and the whole world may be subject to the judgment of God“ (Romans 3:19). Thus, the law closes the sentence. It is impossible for a sinner to be justified „by the works of the law“; the law not only condemns, but „by the law comes the knowledge of sin“ (Romans 3:20). This shows how far people have strayed from God`s requirements. It is a mirror in which the sinner sees his contamination, but the mirror cannot clean, although it shows the need for purification. www.law.com/2020/08/05/what-is-new-law-the-definition-can-be-broad-but-its-all-about-value/ If we look at all the testimony of the Gospels, we can see how Christ fulfilled the law. He fulfilled the moral law by obeying, emphasizing its full significance, showing its intense spirituality, and establishing it on a more secure basis than ever before as the eternal law of justice. He fulfilled the ceremonial and typical law, not only by conforming to its requirements, but by recognizing its spiritual significance. He has filled the dark outlines of the types, and thus accomplished, they pass, and it is no longer necessary for us to celebrate the Passover or kill the lamb daily: we no longer need to face the difficult passage that follows in terms of inner conflict. There has always been much debate about whether this is a conflict in the soul of the unborn human being or the born-again human being – we believe that it lies in rebirth that exposes the experience of the believer – but whatever point of view is defended, it is clear that the law cannot bring liberation; the upper part of human nature, or born-again nature according to the interpretation supposed, can „accord with the law that it is good“ (Romans 7:16), may even „rejoice in the law of God“ (Romans 7:22); but there is another law at work, the law of sin among members, and the work of that law is imprisonment and misery, whence deliverance can come only through Jesus Christ (Romans 7:23-25). The word „law“ is used in these verses in the principled sense, „the law of my spirit,“ „the law of sin,“ „the law in my limbs“; but against everything is the law of God. Next, the apostle exposes the great redemption of Jesus Christ and shows that it offers what the law did not provide, a righteousness that can meet the requirements of the law; a righteousness which, though „outside the law,“ apart from all human attempts to keep the law, is nevertheless in the deepest harmony with the principles of the law and witnessed „by the law and the prophets“ (Romans 3:21). (In this passage, the „law“ seems to signify the Pentateuch, and in Romans 3:19, given the preceding quotations from the Psalms, it seems to mean all the writings of the Old Testament.) Since the righteousness assured by Christ comes by faith upon the sinner, the works of the law obviously have nothing to do with our obtainment.
But the righteousness of faith is so far from undermining the law that Paul claims that the law is established by faith (Romans 3:31). The kingdom of God is above all interior, and therefore all external actions that do not correspond to inner reconciliation with God are prohibited. Those who are indifferent to this inner peace have nothing to do with this law, for example food. All food is allowed under the new law and there are no ritual laws of purification or washing. The New Law is a law of freedom in two ways: (1) it does not require us to do or avoid anything other than what is necessary or contrary to salvation, and (2) it requires that we fulfill the commandments free from the inner emotion of grace. The old law holds his hand. The New Law holds the heart and therefore also the hand. The Constitution of the United States is the fundamental law of the nation. It codifies people`s core values. The courts are responsible for interpreting the meaning of the Constitution as well as the meaning of all laws passed by Congress. The Federalist #78 further states that when a law passed by Congress conflicts with the Constitution, „the Constitution is preferable to the Statute, the intention of the people for the purpose of their agents.“ The general elements of this type of legal practice are clear.
The elaboration of the details can be done individually according to the requirements of the customer. For many modern law firms, this is a way to offer all sorts of additional legal services. It is important to understand the difference between this form of legal aid and the idea of outsourcing. The key is that these services are monitored by the company`s employees. Unlike outsourcing, where everything is done by the hired company, this form of service ensures that the company controls what happens and how it happens. The ideal is to offer as much as possible in order to add value in every way possible. This allows the client to receive many types of legal services from the client that might otherwise be lost to a competing organization. „Therefore there is no condemnation now for those who are in Christ Jesus“ (Romans 8:1).
The requirements of the law, which are satisfied by Christ, no longer press those who are in Him. When the apostle adds, „For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has freed me from the law of sin and death“ (Romans 8:2), he uses the general „law“ as a principle or power to produce an ordered action, and „the law of the Spirit of life“ can be understood as the method of the work of the Spirit. and perhaps this is really one way of describing the gospel itself, the new law by which the Spirit acts. The other phrase, „law of sin and death,“ is not to be understood as the law of Moses, but as the law, the principle of sin that produces death, mentioned in the previous chapter, unless we consider it the holy law that gives knowledge of sin and brings condemnation of death. The failure of the law to produce a satisfactory result is certainly attributed to the weakness of the flesh, which indeed reflects the statement of the previous chapter, but everything the law could not achieve is achieved by the work of Christ. In Christ, sin is condemned, and in those who are united to him, the righteousness of the law is fulfilled. In many ways, the world of legal affairs belongs to a rotating series of buzzwords. Business areas are cleverly named, director and executive titles are demonstratively awarded, and strategy changes are regularly formulated as „innovative“ and „up-to-date“. But sometimes it leads to confusion about what a term actually means – if everyone has a different definition of a term for their own purposes, that term loses some of its meaning.
